How to Prepare

How to Prepare for Your Upcoming Project

New Construction/Commercial

Some things to consider before we start work on your project are the following:

  • Heat must be on if temperatures are below 40°
  • Water needs to be on at the property
  • We must have access to electricity
  • All cabinets and trim work should be installed

Residential Repaint

If the space is occupied:

  • Have all furniture moved away from walls to the center of the room
  • Remove everything from the walls
  • Remove all personal effects from countertops
  • If we’re painting inside of cabinetry – remove everything from inside and relocate
  • If we’re painting inside closets – remove everything from inside and relocate
  • If we’re painting previously stained cabinetry and/or trim, we use oil-based primer and don’t recommend you live in the space while we’re completing a large portion of cabinetry such as a full kitchen or a whole home remodel of trim and cabinetry.

If the space isn’t occupied:

Much like new construction, we will need to ensure that these items are available:

  • Heat must be on if temperatures are below 40 degrees
  • Water needs to be on at the property
  • We must have access to electricity

Additional Requirements

Entry Access for the crews is essential. This can usually be accomplished by having a lockbox onsite, having a garage door code for the crew, or having someone onsite to physically allow the crew into the property and lock up once the day is done. If the community you live in is gated, we will also need your gate code to be able to enter the community.

A parking area for our crew out of the way of neighbors is also necessary.

We must also have access to a functioning restroom.

Colors for paints and stains should be decided and submitted to the project manager before work begins on your project.
