Melvin’s Painting started as a dream. In 2005, Melvin started Melvin’s Painting in the hopes to support his family. Almost 20 years later, with a team over 50 people strong, Melvin’s hard work and dedication has brought a caring, family-owned, and locally-operated painting crew to Conway.

Melvin Gonzalez
Owner/Operator
Melvin started MP in 2005 with the dream of providing for his family. Along the way, he’s grown his team to include his wife and partner and a management staff of 5 along with crews working all over the state to keep up with the demands of running a successful business.
Karen Gonzalez
Co-owner/Operator
Karen joined Melvin in 2009 as co-owner and has been a vital part of the company’s success. She brings structure and accountability to the management staff and teams, as well as encouragement and support to Melvin to keep everything running smoothly in times of uncertainty.
Patricia Ruelas
Chief Financial Officer
Patricia joined our team over a year ago and is responsible for helping secure financing for all our projects, fleet maintenance and upgrades, and even the more monotonous aspects of business such as taxes, insurance, and payroll.
Reyna Aceituno
Office Manager
Reyna has been responsible for most aspects of office work for MP over the years, including all the invoicing and estimating, payroll, financing, and taxes. She currently provides support to the office staff with all the various paperwork needs, building maintenance, and payroll.
Riley Gift
Operations Representative
Riley joined our team in 2024 after a career managing for our paint supplier. She works with our Project Managers and Melvin on estimates and invoicing; and she assists with color consultations and customer issues. She also plays a vital role in the company’s marketing agenda.
Jesus Reyes
Lead Repair Technician
Jesus has been with the company for the past year and works across all our projects. He’s our lead repair tech and works with all our teams to ensure that all necessary repairs are made to remodel projects prior to completion. He also works to ensure our office runs smoothly and everything is up to code. He’s a vital part of our team.
Jeremy McDaniel
Lead Project Manager
As our lead project manager of 6 years, Jeremy is responsible for building our teams, scheduling projects, managing the workload of each project from start to finish, and communicating with our teams and clients throughout the process. It’s also his job to ensure that our teams have all the tools they need to be successful throughout their projects.
Elena Gonzalez
Project Manager
Elena has worked by Melvin’s side for many years. It’s her job to assist with all projects in the Conway and Greenbrier areas. She makes sure our local teams and builders are taken care of, and our crews have everything they need to be successful throughout the project. She’s also responsible for meeting with clients for estimates and consultations.
Sean Abernathy
Project Manager and Marketing
As the newest member of our Project Manager team, Sean comes to us with several years of experience in the paint industry, including working for our paint supplier, and co-owning his own repaint company. As Project Manager, he’s responsible for assisting with scheduling projects, managing the teams and assisting with the projects, and communicating with our clients throughout the process. He’s our lead for in-person estimate meetings and is responsible for our Facebook marketing!
Nelson Escoto
Specialty Expert
Nelson has been with Melvin for over 15 years and is responsible for delicate projects such as specialty stains and glazing, faux finishes, and is our main person for touch-ups in high profile homes. His methodical level of attention to every minute detail makes him an indispensable part of our team.
Adelio Duran
Specialty Expert
Adelio works much in the same way as Nelson and has been with the company for over 6 years. He is responsible for a lot of unique faux finishes and flooring projects. He is also a team leader and runs a crew when needed to complete more intricate projects. His creativity and perspective helps to find solutions to many unique application needs.
David Castro
Team Lead – Large Scale Homes
David has been with Melvin for over 15 years as well and specializes in large-scale high-profile new construction homes. His high attention to detail makes him a valued asset to both our company and our clients who specifically request him. He’s also a crew leader whose team members can depend on for guidance to make every project successful.
Mario Hernandez
Team Lead – Specialty
Mario is our lead drywall expert. His reach extends not only to new construction, but also to residential and commercial remodeling. He works on every job with any needs for repair work to make sure we start off with the proper surface to make the finished product a success!
Dionis Duarte
Team Lead
Dionis is another of our valued team leaders. His abilities range from small, unique projects to large scale homes both interior and exterior. He’s elevated himself through hard work, attention to detail, being an incredibly instrumental leader for his team, and being committed to working with other leaders and project managers to develop a positive environment for our company. He’s truly an invaluable person and it shows in all his endeavors.
